Can you claim interest from solicitor?

    Just to update, I have emailed and asked the solicitor this morning - I didn't know if it was possible so didn't want to ask if it wasn't. I've had a reply to say they are going to look in to it for me.

    Read the T&Cs of the agreement for the sale, it normally says that the client account does not earn interest, unless the client contacts us and advises us to put the funds into an interest earning account. Think it also said something like ti had to be if the money was going to be held for a significant time. I can done over by a solly hold a large sum for a large amount of time, not a lot I could do otehr then put it down to epxerience...

    Solicitor has been in touch and says it accrued £26.xx in interest. So I'm happy because that at least pays 2 days interest on the mortgage. Will be getting an updated invoice through with the amount, as there was an original mistake meaning I owed them £40 but with the interest off it will be less.
