belated big up to Sussex Fire / Police / Care services/ Grand Hotel Brighton

a neighbour had her flat set alight by some oik, about a week before Christmas, and had to get out sharpish- fire crew had already been called, and were there straight away to control the spread. luckily no one hurt, and jut one room damaged (burnt furniture, walls ceiling etc totally smoked out).
anyways, cops and council also on scene to investigate / help out- i cant remember their names, but spent next couple of hours comforting the poor woman who was naturally quite shaken up- arranging overnight accomodation, lift to shops for some food, etc, then a long stay in a local hotel0 totally F.O.C- good PR for them I guess, though surprised they had any room, that time of year..
seeing the room after repairs / repaint works were done in New Year (Kier group I think were the contractors), you wouldn't have know what had gone on before.
som a pat on the back to all concerned. i understand someone was arrested for the offence, soon after the attack.
