Hi,
Is there an IKEA near you?
I have this chair - cheap and comfortable...

Thanks alot for your help.... Any other finds??0

Hi. Sorry but this is not going to be much help. I got one from the local Netto store last week for £19.99. Its leather and really comfortable. Maybe worth keeping an eye out for the different shopping leaflets in your area.0

Niceday Berlin High Back Leather Faced Chair Black

£23.49
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
Hiya folks, first post, that makes me a n00b!
Anyway, straight on to business! I got a free chair from Viking a while back after my parents spent £100 on stock for thier business. However, I suffer from back problems after a work injury, and the cheap padding on the base, or lack of it in this case, is what agrivates my back issues every once in a while.
I like the look of the Berlin Chair but what is the base padding like? Is it thick and confortable?
The only affordable chair I have seen that seems to have good padding is this one from Argos but it costs £46.49. I'm tempted to use their Money Back Refund Policy to my advantage on this one. (Also, the one tommie posted above looks interesting too!)
Is it a case of you get what you paid for in this case?

If you've a back complaint shouldn't you be looking more towards some chairs that offer some kind of comfort, as opposed to the budget brands?
You might be interested in taking a look through some of these links if so:

They're a little more expensive than the budget brands from viking, staples etc but you tend to buy for longterm use and a chair tailored towards your requirements aiui.

HTH
Most of the chairs on those sites range from £200 - £2000!

A little more expensive? The prices on those sites are crazy!

Actually, they start around £133 but I do accept they're a little more expensive than the cheaper chairs. If you're happy making do with a chair that may do further damage to your back, then so be it. But you should be aware that you only get one back and it's going to be with you a number of years so you may wish to look after it. On this basis you may consider saving a few more weeks to get something that will last you, as opposed to a cheaper more disposable chair that may further agitate your problem.
Just my opinion,
