Wood for raised beds

I'm about to build some raised beds to grow some veg in and i'm wondering if anyone had any idea of a good place to get some wood that won't cost the earth.

    My husband made both a compost bin and a raised bed out of old palletts only yesterday. Try either a builders yard or if there are any companies with scaffolding planks that they are no longer using (they have to swap them if they warp slightly due to health & safety) then ask for those.
