Balance transfer Capital One - Amex

Has anyone had the trouble I have had trying to transfer balances from Amex to Capital One. Three times I have tried and CO now have sent me a letter stating the Amex cards are not rcognised by their system. I only went for the CO cards because it was 0% transfer fee. What a waste of time and energy:mad:

Try it the other way around and speak to Amex customer services as tell them you want to transfer a balance .
I can't recall the exact details but basically "we" think of a BT as sending money from Amex to CO.
But the banking system actually sees it as the other way around.
It seems a little strange that one card doesn't recognise the other!Perhaps the request is being made via the wrong card,give it a go Amex CS are very good they will give you the correct answer.
If that doesn't work post again and we'll plan another way around your problem.

Hi, thank you for you advice, I called American Express and though they were very helpful they couldn't do anything. They recognise Capital One but not the other way round it seems! The request for a bt has to come from Cap one.
