bear in mind the xtrail seems to have an inherant fault with the turbo,costing around £700 to replace....work permit granted!0

between stories i have read on here and have heard about, the xtrail is a good car,it is a bit thirsty and a lot of folk have had the turbo problem,some more than once.
on the other hand i have heard bad stories about the 206 but the girlfriend has one and has been ok so far....work permit granted!0 -

The problem with the turbo on x-trails is on newer cars with the 136PS dci engine these were only made from jan 2004. The older version which you are probably looking at did not suffer the same issues so you should be perfectly safe with that issue.0
