First choice, help!

hi..my mom has booked us in a hotel from first choice along with a wedding package in a hotel that is quite remote but was all inclusive and had lots to entertain the children/ family.well i looked on the site the other day and run through a provisional booking stopping at the same hotel & same date etc and it now comes up with a notice stating there is no night time entertainment and asks for this to be ticked as understood before preceding with the booking.now this was not there before so mom us very upset as it may be quite boring for the older members who have nothing to do at night and it is about 5 miles to any neighbouring village so the other options are limited.my mom phoned first choice and they told her not to worry as there was entertainment but im a bit dubious as they wouldnt have put this notice up now on the booking would they and feel they are fobbing mom off seeing as she has spent a lot of money on this wedding with them.what would you suggest she does?thanks for reading jo x

it just now says no live evening entertainment.x

No 'live' stuff probably just means no singers etc (I can personally do without them anyway!) There will likely be other stuff to do.

I've been with 1st choice once - the whole AI resort stuff really isn't my thing but my sis was getting married so we went where she was - and was pleasantly surprised by the stuff that was available. (We were 7 adults [inc my 60something parents] and 2 kids).

I'm sure you'll be fine and have a fabulous holiday, but for your own peace of mind it might be worth checking with them exactly what will and wont be available/going on.

hi i have been through those reviews but as they are last season i am unsure as to whether things will have changed when this season starts up, it has been mentioned before that the entertainment is non existant by holiday review sites although on the first choice website (untill the new disclaimer!) it says that there is evening entertainment.i cant think what entertainment is classed as live/non live though.on the plus side mom has phoned up and said she will make her own entertainment ...a scary thought! visions of "benidorm" are now going through my head, with moms chap saying i paid for this holiday lolx

if there is now a tick box it is likely that an errata has been put on their system- this means that first choice should be sending you notice of the change... as it is a change and so far ahead they should ofer to change your booking for free. i would ring customer services via the weddings line as if they think that they may loose the booking you may get a few extras thrown in!

You could always email the hotel direct and ask them what entertainment they have. Google the hotel to get their contact details.

hi thanks for your relies...i did that yesterday so hope they reply soon, my mom went to the travel agent and asked there and she said it was nonsense as the entertainment ran till oct, im a bit dubious though myself but mom seems to have cheered up today anyhow.x
