I didn't get the email, however when I logged onto my Ebay account just now I saw this message in "my messages" under my account profile. So it looks as though they are sending it out to quite a few people. Same code of £2.50 off p&p & same valid until date 2nd September.

    So check your Ebay accounts!
  • I've never had anything like that from Ebay or Paypal! Boo hoo!! I've been a member for about 2 1/2 years now - oh well!
:DThe world would be a sad place to live with no chocolate! :D

Didn't work for me - but was annoyed enough to phone PayPal, and spoke to most helpful (if a little "mouse on speed") person in Dublin, who promised to sort out problem.

At first claimed that postage had to be "at least" £2.50 to get money off, but then more helpful when I pointed out T&C's quoted "up to £2.50".

Sure I've probably spent more on the call than the £1.50 I'll get back, but I'm sick of these offers - not just from paypal - just not delivering. I reckon they almost factor in that most people just won't complain, and pay up.

Quick update - after telephone call, account fixed to deduct £1.50 post costs - full marks to Paypal for sorting it out, and just doing what they said they would.

I had no such luck with paypal. I called them up & they said you have to satisfy 3 conditions:

1- you have to have received the message in "my messages on ebay - ok for me
2 - you have to have your ebay id entered in your paypal online account profile - ok for me
3 - you have to be a "uk verified member" - not ok with me. you need to enter you bank details, setup a direct debit & confirm how much they take out, then they have to call your home telephone number to verify you live where you say you do. a complete pain in the backside & very difficult to do!

Yes, a complete pain, and not, I think, mentioned in the T&Cs of the offer - which , if you think about it, should only be sent to people that qualify without all this fuss.........
