In fact looking on ebay last night I could get a set for more or less what I paid for one! - might be worth other renault owners carrying them around!
For the uninitiated they run on pairs so if no1 goes you should also replace its pair No4 then no 2 & 3 work together also.
:rotfl: :rotfl: Most Renault petrol 1.6 owners do:rotfl: :rotfl:
They dont actually work in pairs, its just that 2 of them fire at the same time ie approx tdc, its known as the wasted spark system as 1 tdc is on the exhaust not compression stroke,;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Woohoo!!!:j
Update to the thread - decided to write to Renault Customer Services to see if they would reimburse any of the cost of the new ignition coils - the Customer Services Manager phoned me herself immediately & refunded the whole amount I paid for the 4 ignition coils!!! No quibble !!
Well done Renault:TStart by doing what's necessary, then what's possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.0 -

Good for you - just goes to show that in this country we don't moan enough - always good to contact the manufacturer if you have a problem!
Still think Japs are better.......
If S max or C max - I have it on fairly good authority, that if you get one from 2005 onwards, they are ok now. (They weren't!)Genie

Indeed!
The Mazda 5 is a considerable amount of Foicus underneath the skin!!

Yes, the chassis, which is a good thing. Engines are all Mazda though.
The excessive tyre wear problem does seem to be limited to the Sport model (includes the 143 bhp diesel )with the wider wheels. Mazda have done a lot to make sure this does not happen with the facelife model including stronger alloy wheels and suspension changes.
If you are buying new you might like to know the Mazda 5 can be had on 50% deposit, 50% interest free credit over 36 months right now. On top of the £1000-£1500 discount you should be able to get it's a very good deal and they are forecast to retain 55% after 3 years - that's Audi and BMW beating/matching residuals :cool:0 -

Another thumbs up for the Honda FRV. We often have to cart a drum kit and various amps to gigs for my son, and there is loads of room in the back!0 -
Do have a good look at the rear seats on Scenic alternatives. In my view none of the alternatives are as good. The Scenic gives three individual seats good support and good seat belts, most others give a bench, split in two with little padding.0
