I don't know how much it's affected 'the market' but it seems to have affected how people live and view their homes. Everyone seems to have lost the notion of self expression. No one paints their walls colours they enjoy anymore, no one has a deep pile carpet that they can bury their toes in, no one surrounds themselves with photos of their family or loved ones- unless it's a professionally taken studio pose printed onto canvas- the ephemera of everyday life is hidden away, as if it were something shameful.
So everyone has turned their homes into 'products' to be 'marketed'.0 -
