Fethiye Sept 2008 - Ramadan and Ephesus

Hi

Just wondering in anyone had experienced 'Turkey' during the Ramadan period? We are going on holiday to Fethiye in Turkey in Sept 2008 and our holiday will fall during this period. I think it will be quite a cultural experience but wondered how it would affect us?

I would also like any advice on doing a trip to Ephesus from Fethiye........
Has anyone done this, if so who did they go through to book and how much did it cost approximately?

Hi Jessie,
I've been going to Turkey for 20 yrs. and never had any problems during Ramadan, you'll be okay in the tourist centres but out in the sticks it's different. We usually stay in Kizkalesi further east than you and getting around there in Ramadan can be an adventure. Don't worry you will have a lovely time the Turkish people are very helpful and keep your wits about you.
