Freehold Aparment.

We are once again faced with the chance of buying a freehold apartment.The building is a two storey semi detached property.The price is right,the property is good and we like it.The hiccup we think due to past experience is the ground floor is leasehold and to date we are not aware of any maintenance arrangement.£25 per annum ground rent is payable.Is this a no go situation or could it be a sensible buy.Our next move would be to the happy hunting grounds so this is our final purchase.Our kids would then use it as a coastal holdiay home.It seems that this situation is common in this area.The condition of the property does not cause any concern regarding structural/roofing etc and appears to have well maintained in the past.Thanks for any advice before we once again throw money away on surveys/searches etc.
