reclaiming bank charges when the account and money owed

This is my first post and have been reading up on claiming back bank charges. We have an account where we are sure we are owed money but the bank has now closed the account and is chasing me through a debt collection agency and my husband through the courts even though this is a joint account and we are paying through the debt collection agency from our joint income Would we still be able to reclaim and that could then go some way to reducing the debt??

Yes, do you know what charges you have incurred in the last 6 years. If not follow the Reclaim GuideWould we still be able to reclaim and that could then go some way to reducing the debt??
Have they actually issued a claim at court and if so what stage is it at?my husband through the courts0 -
Hi thanks for that Orford, My husband has just sent off his defense to the court. We are currently on a debt management plan through CCCS and they have said they have not come accross anything like this where we are being chased seperatly for a joint debt.0
