We are signing for a Part-Ex today :-)

after about three weeks of hard negotiating we have finally struck a deal

The house we are in now is a 2 bed semi. We noticed one just like ours around the corner sold by an estate agent for around £105,000. I think it was a bit better than ours to be honest, but not much in it

The house we are looking at was on the market for £229,950

The deal we have negotiated is as follows:

Part-ex

Sold ours for £110,000
Bought theirs for £199,950

Freebies include:

Carpets
Full Lined Curtains and Blinds
Integrated Door Mat (like the Show Home had)
Tiled Floor (upg from Lino)
Landscaped Garden (not just Turfed and Fenced)

also has detached garage and extra parking space not shown on photo

I think we got a good deal in the end. No estate agents fees so pay, no HIPs to buy, no risk of sale falling through or in a long chain

I'll post some photos up later if anyone wants to be nosey :rotfl:

Congratulations. The house looks lovely - sounds a good price too. Hope everything goes well for you.
  • Just wondered if they have many houses like yours to sell on that development?

We are trying to negotiate with Bellway at the moment on another site and they have offered us a crap deal!

They only offered us £100000 for ours and we know we could get £108000 if we hold out privately. They still left pp of theres at £169995 but said they would pay our deposit which they would anyway if we have sold.

They seem to be selling a few more now since the last time we were on site. The house next door sold last week for the full asking price :rotfl:

after looking at costs for us to sell privately and buy second hand against part-ex with other builders in the area we would say we got a fantastic deal

Your not living in the real world if you think we could have gotten an even better one

In your defence you haven't seen the property in the flesh so probably don't know the true value of all the extra included

Well done. There aren't many people capable of holding out like you :)

    Fabulous for a part-ex, certainly.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
  • Yes I agree it sounds like a fantastic deal. I would be over the moon for just a bit extra for ours, I would feel like I had won the lottery if I had all that that you had got. :rotfl: :rotfl:
