my wireless keeps dropping off can anyone tell me why

    What are you using PC, Mac, Windows XP, Vista...

    Describe the problem a bit more - what were you doing when it dropped, how long has it been happening, have you recently installed any software etc

    ... also set the laptop beside the router. does it still drop?

    Does it vary depending on where the laptop is?

    Has it always done this?

    Have you tried someone elses laptop?

    Sorry for the short message last night, seems everytime i wrote my problems i got cut off hense losing the info i'd typed :(

    Im running on windows xp its been dropping on and off since wednesday not installed anything new been on a few house sites, nosing at poperties was when it 1st starting playing up

    drops if im 20 foot away from the bt box or sitting on top of it 2 other laptops in the house both fine

    this is a toshiba satellite

    copying and pasting this incase i lose it again lol

  • Try accessing your router settings and changing the router channel.
