Try searching on Google for 'van hire XXX', where XXX = name of your nearest large town. You'll probably find £35--£40 is as cheap as you'll get for a Transit-size van.

You are looking to hire a van over a bank holiday weekend - you may find it difficult to find an available vehicle as these periods are always busy and may have been booked up for considerable time.

It's on the motoring and public transport board presumably as the chap wants to rent a van and this is the most applicable section
