Car no claims query

Hi,

I have 4 years no claims from both my present employer (2 years) and my past employer (2 years as well).

my present boss will give me a letter saying that i have been good for two years but i left on bad terms with my old boss and i would'nt give him the satisfaction of asking.

Can i only confirm 2 years no claims when quoting for insurance?

Do you mean that you had no claims from driving a company car, which was insured by the company? If so, officially you don't have any no claims discount, as it was the company's insurance, not yours. Some insurers will take your years trouble free company car motoring into account when assessing your premiums, other won't. You may just have to ask around. A local broker may be a good place to start, as they will have contacts, and whatever they come up with, at least you will have a figure to compare with.

When I drove a company car, I kept my car on the road, so I ddn't have this probem when I went back to private motoring, but I did have colleagues who did have this problem. Hopefully there will be an MSEr with direct experience of this.
