Question about photos

Hi,

Sorry if this has been covered already, but I've seen various photo hosting sites listed on here and I was wondering if you use them does that allow you to have additional photos on your listing without paying additional charges? If this is so, do you need to pay for any photos at all? Ideally I'd like to put up a listing with a gallery photo and some additional photos, say 3 or 4. What would I have to pay?

I've never sold anything before on Ebay so I'm a complete novice at this - sorry.

If you include photos in your main advert linked to a photo hosting site you will not pay for them. If however you use the EBay photo hosting option you will pay through the nose.

I use the free option plus gallery just in case the hosting site goes down and you have at least one photo in your advert at all times.

I use a photo hosting company where my online photo gallery is. They allow Ebay photo hosting, basically I stick a link into my auction. However I do pay for my online album, about US$25 a year.

I've been using the free part of Auctionpix (https://www.auctionpix.co.uk) for a few months now for my ebay photo hosting, and it has been fine.

You get 2500 Kbytes of space, and your images will expire after 15 days, so just enough for a second week's listing should you need one. It will also allow you to incorporate your own watermark logo onto the image, which may deter casual photo thieves. Just incorporate the photos new address into your listing, and you won't have to pay ebay for the extra pics. I agree with Hintza about using the free first photo in ebay.

My two pence...I use ImageShack for hosting images. Admittedly, I don't actually use it for eBay - I use paid-for webspace for that - but if I didn't, I'd almost certainly use them.

I'd say just choose the free photo host you feel the most comfortable with!

if you're using an ISP, they usually provide you with some amount of webspace, all the major ones here in the UK do,
personally I use my pipex space and host the pics there, costs me nowt and saves me loads
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
