Two bunches of numpties. (Repeat)
1) Bloke who wandered into an auction room and bought an art deco listed flat that had £75,000 of work that needed doing to the whole building (every tenant was having to pay that much each)... and had NO idea about the £75k, OR that he had to get permission to change anything IN the flat. Brighton.
2) Two students, buy something and are clueless. 100% mortgage + credit cards to fund it.

Yeah, I think I've seen this one 3 times in the last 10 days, but you have to have something on
And these two sets had some really clueless approaches when they started out.
I never fail to be gobsmacked when people buy listed properties without having any idea what it means.
Oooh new series. I'll miss it no doubt. I am rubbish at changing channels. I tend to hunt down to see "what's on now" then only notice hours later that it's finished and something annoying has been on for the last hour; then I have another look for "what's on now"0 -
There are still places you can get a 2 bed terrace for £50k. Burnley and Stoke to name but 2. If you don't mind vile council estate with knuckle dragging locals then you can get a 3 bed semi for £45-£55k in parts of Stoke.0

How depressing that such a numbnutz will end up rich, bailed out by the bluddy Bank Of Mum...
Beeny tried really hard to control herself talking to this guy.0 -

I've missed it this evening.
I love ANLITC. I've only recently got channel five and I've just discovered five life and I've been watching them almost every night for weeks. There was one earlier in the week where the house was worth about £1,000,000 when they spent a total of £470,000 on the house and renovations. How they bought it so cheap I do not know! It was massive and had acres!
Freed my diary for Wednesday 8pmI shall be rushing home from the project oop north to be sat in front of the new tv in my bedroom. Bet place for property !!!!!!
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

TV is on 24/7 here... and I use radiotimes. I've clicked on every property !!!!!! programme and chosen "add to my programmes", so now I click on "my programmes" and see them all listed. There's LOADS more than I ever knew about. And now I'm onto about the 4th viewing of most episodes.
It's great.
The questions I have are:
- how come these people know how to make it look nice at the end, I really don't have ANY eye for design.
- how come they can't see the obvious for layout/cost, my brain is wired to get the best use of space and most efficiency
- how the HELL do they seem to get it all done so cheap?
I work from home and live in a studio. So I spend all day on the sofa (no bed, no bedroom), with the TV on and working on my PC/online (and chatting here WAY too much!).0 -
I need your list of programs!
I'm so bored of having seen the same old programs 6 or 7 times which is why I'm glad we have five. I want to watch House Doctor now. I miss 'selling houses'. That program is brilliant.
I want to know what happened to the style progrms. Did they all get replaced by property !!!!!!? I used to love Home Front (where you paid a third of the budget for one room and your garden doing - people would put £10k towards it!) I'd love to be on that program.
Most people's budgets make sense to me. Sometimes I'm really shocked at how much they are! 'nuff respect to the people that do it DIY.
People have style by buying all the stuff off one page of the Next Directory so it co-ordinates :rotfl:
Do you sleep on your sofa or are you here all night too?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
