does anyone have any assistance to offer re: the claiming of DLA. I have a degenerative blood disorder and have previously received DLA because of this. I in my stupid pig headed ways decided not to re submit a claim in 2006 because I did not want to be branded 'disabled', it made sense at the time.
Now I'm starting to think that i probably should reclaim. I am loosing more feeling in my hands and feet and have had to resort to using a walking stick/cane if walking any more than a short distance at the ripe old age of 27
Does anyone know if its easier 2nd time around. the first time i was refused and appealed and was granted it on appeal, lower mobility and middle care.
Does there still seem to be a certain 'knack' to filling in that monster form??
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I dont know if it would be easier the second time but as you have been awarded DLA before and your condition now sounds worse I think you would have a good chance of qualifying. You are right there is a 'knack' to filling in the forms and it is best to get help from a Welfare Rights Officer as they should have the 'knack'. You should be able to find an experienced adviser at the CAB, local Council or at a disability organisation such as Dial. I hope this helps.0

With regards to completing the form. When you recieve the pack there is a telephone number on there for help in completing the form. I used this service and it was very quick and easy. They complete the form and send it to you to read over and sign.Your condition has deteriorated so you should make a new claim.
Good Luck:j I have a persecution complex. Everytime I pass a shoe shop they persecute me till I buy them:j0
