Are the banks allowed to still charge overdraft interest when case is on a stay.

    Yes, and impose penalty fees.
  • Thats disgusting really and means i'd have to pay all that back aswell
  • Interest on overdrafts will always be legitimate, because you are effectively borrowing money from a lender even though it is not as such a loan. Charges at the time of writing are lawful as no judgement has been made as to the lawfulness of them.
