Looking for heavy duty trolley thing to transport belongings between houses....

We are moving into our new house over the bank holiday weekend and need to move all our belongings from my folks house to our place which is 5 DOORS AWAY! (that needs another thread of its own i think!!)

Loading into the car and unloading seems a waste of time when its so close but the only thing i've found is a little trolley truck that is fine for 2-3 smallish boxes but what we really need is those heavy duty trolleys that you get in cash and carrys and places like wickes and b&q where the carry bit is long and wide so you can fit loads on. We have loads of boxes but also some chest of drawers and wardrobes which would be so easy to transport on one of these...

Any ideas where we can get one from? I might phone b&q and ask to borrow one but i'm sure the answer will be no!

hope you can help.

When i moved house i 'borrowed' one and it did the job perfectly for wardrobes, fridges, freezers, washing machines etc.

Try HSS hire and other local hire shops. https://www.hss.co.uk

On the HSS www site search for code 70478 which is a platform truck (trolley) costing 18.90 for a week end hire.

They also do other types so try browsing their on line catalogue for what you need.
