Parking Ticket

probably why people park across my drive when they are dropping/collecting their child from the local schools...even when my car is on the drive
suppose it's ok as they are running late and parking round the corner means that they actually have to walk a little further
and yes i DO have school age childrenEx forum ambassador

But Browntoa, parking across your drive is different. That is your area and could be needed for access. My point is that this is an industrial/retail area with nothing else open or around it on a Sunday morning. When we go and pick them up on Friday, it will be a different matter again as the offices will be open and the limited parking is for permit holders only, then we will have to park further away and walk to meet them which we shall do.
We have corresponded with the Manchester traffic wardens and it appears that we have been lucky. They have to observe you for 5 minutes before issuing you with a ticket and if they haven't done this, then you haven't actually been booked. The fine would have been £60 but that would be reduced to £30 if you pay within 14 days.
Thank you all for your input.0
