Credit Card - poor rating help!

Afternoon,
I am looking for a credit card to accept balance transfer (i have a balance of £600 on a barclaycard) however my credit score is poor (approx 500) and I don't want to apply for too many and get rjected. I haven't tried any as yet, but does anyone know of anyone who is worth trying? I have seen the rebuilder cards, however the interest is more than I am paying currently ... is it impossible to achieve a 0% card with my shabby rating?
Thanks in advance!!:o

From what I have seen, people with poor credit scores or scores requiring improvement would be unlikely to be accepted for a 0% balance transfer card. This would probably extend to those with a fair score too.
My only suggestion would be to try a card with a better rate, or chance your mitt with your credit card company to see if they will give you a reduction.£12,550 by September 2011? £12,550 to go

I think it would be unlikely you'd get the same or greater limit with a new provider, even with a company like Capital One, they may only give you £200 as a starter.
Have you tried using the smartsearch on moneysupermarket? It'll show you which cards match your credit profile.
Otherwise, ask your current provider if they can offer you a deal. If you don't ask, you don't get!£2 Coin Savers Club (Christmas)- £86£1 Jar (Christmas)- £29Christmas Vouchers Saved: £1450
