Is the account fee worth it?

I currently pay £10 a month account fee with lloyds I signed up with this to start with as it had good offers on mobile phone insurance, travel insurance & breakdown cover.

I have been looking around and wondered if it is actually cheaper to just buy these things seperately through quidco and not pay out £120 a year to lloyds without thinking about it, do these offers tend to be a good deal or is it worth me shopping around for breakdown cover, dont know if the mobile phone cover is even worth my while since I dont own a really pricey mobile anyways!

Depending on the cover you are getting this may be an alright deal, probably be best to check the smallprint.

If all the cover is necessary, then it's probably best to stick to your £10 per month and recieve the benefits.

On the other hand, from personal experience Mobile Phone insurance is a pain and not worth the paper it's written on in some cases. And do you need the travel insurance? Policies can be picked up for reasonable prices from the post office etc when necessary.

Just depends on your situation really and if you can be bothered switching accounts then changin cover etc.
    £12,550 by September 2011? £12,550 to go :p

You are right I probably do need to dig out the paperwork! I havent used the travel insurance last year and I used to only pay about £7 for it anyway so its not a major advantage to me. The only benefit is the breakdown cover which I know I can get cheaper seperately.
I best get reading the small print!!

If you use the features of the £10pm package then it can be value. If you dont, you are better off moving back to the Classic plus account which has no charge (and doesnt involve new account number but will be a new card - although existing card can continue to be used until new one arrives).
