Yes a dog can be intolerant of meat (though it's rare). Burns fish and rice is supposed to be an excellent food. Why not contact Burns and ask for a sample if you don't want to buy a whole bag?
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

I discovered this morning that my vet sold Burns 2kg bags so I bought one of those in the fish version to try. I'd previously bought huge big bags and didn't realise they sold ones so small, they hadn't had them any time I'd been in previously. They also had one meal size bags of samples that were free to take so I got a pork and potato and a lamb and rice to try too. Fingers crossed this gets sorted out as he really isn't a very happy bunny at the minute.
