Bathroom nightmare!!!!

I'm fitting two new bathrooms as part of a new extention. As luck would have it the joists run the wrong way which makes drianage of the showers a nightmare. I've looked at Whale pumps, which appear to fit for the task, but at £600 + vat they seem expensive. has anyone got any ideas???? Please...
