Don't use nail varnish remover on plastic. It may damage it.

I keep a bottle of isopropl alcohol for cleaning my computer screen and CD's. It will remove sticky stuff as well. You can buy it at the chemist. About £1 for 500ml. Lasts years.

EDIT: Just realised it has been solved.

Also need to clean LCD tv screens and my pc lcd screen. is that good stuff?

I had some sticky tape glue firmly stuck to a PDA, but that was on the screen, not on the boty of it. I rubbed it with the corner of a microfibre cloth soaked in a bit of nail polish remover. Did the trick in a few seconds. Don't know if the screen is glass or plastic though. :)

Isopropyl alcohol, aka isopropanol. Assuming they don't have glass fronts, I wouldn't recommend using anything else. Put the cleaner on a soft, lint free cloth, not directly onto the screen, just in case.

If the screen was plastic, which is more than likely for a PDA, and the nail varnish remover was acetone, you were lucky.

Actually, I always thought nail varnish remover was only acetone.

I use it on LCD screens. Be gentle though. As Stephen mentioned above, make sure the cloth is klint free. An old cotton T-shirt does well.

A lot of nail varnish removers are acetone free. I don't know why. Maybe some people are allergic to it.
