Faster Payments Scheme

Just had a leaflet with my Nat West statement, stating they will be operating the "Faster Payments" Scheme, which allegedly comes into operation on 27th May 2008.

Now this will only apply to banks (and presumably building societies) which participate in the new scheme.

So does any one know which other financial institutions will be participating, as this would be handy to know.

Just an update. I contacted Cahoot and here is their reply

Thank you for contacting cahoot in Coventry.

In response to your email, I am sorry to advise that there are currently no plans for cahoot to operate the faster payments" scheme. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I thought as they are part of Abbey, that they would, but obviously not.
