I have looked everywhere but can't find the driver/software so I can install my Lexmark X74 all in one printer to my new Vista laptop.

Can anyone help me please?

ok, bit more reading on other sites, lookslike no driver is out and none is forthcoming, a neat trick, also used by creative and HP, to get you to buy new hardware

I'm afraid it doesnt look like it, your printer may have to go the same way as my webcam (i.e into the bin) - Vista was clearly too much work for some manufacturers when it came to creating legacy drivers

I really hate this practice, I am sure they could make drivers for these products if they wanted to.

Maybe there could be a market in making drivers and selling them.

Every time a new OS comes out people have to buy new hardware, this is not environmentally a good practice but makes good practice for profits. Why should people have to throw away a good working printer or other devices for the sake of a software patch.

Just bought brilliant Canon IP 4500 from Currys who price matched the ebuyer and amazon price of £61 . Single ink tanks so dont have to throw away what you don't use . Ink genuine bit expensive but photoglossy .com was the cheapest .
Lexmark have always been rubbish at ink cost and drivers stick with Canon or Epson .
