How many men does it take to change electric meter ?

well i have no idea, as so far every attempt goes wrong !
I purchased a house it has pay as you got meter in it, so 2wks before i move in i call Atlantic to get meter changed to regular one on mthly direct debit.
They give me appointment for a week after ive moved in, sounds good to me.
Now i have asked for afternoon appointment saying i have to leave work and its 34 miles to home they say they are after 1pm for afternoon one i asked for as late as possible.
So i leave work and traffic not great as road works, but i get home 1:06pm to find the electric man beat me to it !!! i called to try get him to come back that day but they refuse !!!......... im seriously :mad:
So thats wasted time off work, they re book me for the following friday i ask for am time, im told between 8am till 1pm.
2nd Appointment, man arrives 07:55am and he looks at the meter, scratches his head and says
''No i can't do that one'' Why not i ask '' as its high up im not allowed up more than 2 steps on my ladder''
well i can't help but laugh ! he goes on to tell me about regulations and falls etc..... he then says he will re book for me i asked how can someone else change it then and he replies
'' there will be 2 men next time'' i say don't tell me one to hold the ladder and he replies ......''well...yes''
(my offer to hold the ladder didn't work as im not qualified and trained by Seimens to do this)
........... Well 3 days ago a electric meter reading man turns
up and i tell him its pre pay but he says they still read them, and he gets his ladder and i watch with interest as he goes up not 2 but 3 steps !!... interesting he is allowed. i mention how the guy who came to change meter is not allowed up more than 2 steps and how come he can .... he says ''these are new ladders they have now'' :rolleyes: yeah right looked the same to me !!
Well this morning at 8:10am attemp 3 is to go ahead, the guy comes in looks up at the meter scratches his head
and says.......... yes you have guessed,
''Oh i can't do this one'' why not i ask ? he said ''they have put you down for the wrong meter !''
they put down for a new pay as you go !!!!
AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!! sorry but im could scream !!! :mad:
he says he can only do whats on his job form and cant put in the meter i need.
SO............. i call Atlantic i tell the advisor i won't shout but i am very angry !
i explain the situation to which she replies ''its a shambles'' and says she will get a manager i explain to the manager, who says they will give me 3 payments of £20 for the messed up appointments and they will get me booked in again.
the advisor calls me back with a new appointment, she tells me it will be in 2wks time, she said she tried very hard to get it earlier but siemens wouldnt budge on it.
I do apprciate the £60 credit but im not happy i have had to take 4 unpaid days off work for absolutly nothing, the advisor is a very nice lady and suggests i write to head office at Siemens, which i will do and also write to Atlantic.
im trying to be patient but my god this is really pushing me !!

so had to write this again !! :mad:
Does anyone have any other idea's for me ?
or would you like to share your experience ?
