Thomas Cook Credit Card & Travel Pounds

Anyone have one of these cards?
I always pay off my credit card (Nationwide) by direct debit, it does not charge me for transactions abroad. It gives me cash back, but I am not sure how much. The TC card gives me 2% on travel booked with them, 1% elswhere.
Any Comments?

Suprised no comments on this card?
Up to 2% cash back on purchases0 -
This household has 2 of these cards. I used to put everything on my Nat West visa for the Air Miles, but don't anymore.
Travelpounds can mount up, and providing you don't mind tying yourself to Thomas Cook to book, it'll be fine. (they book most companies anyway).
You can also set up a direct debit if you want to.
Have you considered keeping your Nationwide card for use abroad and getting a Thomas Cook one to book your travel?0 -
I went in to apply for one today, but they wanted my partners income, which I objected to.
They say there are charges to use it in the US, though it says
0% foreign exchange fee on all purchases abroad?
Are there charges using it abroad?
I dont think the girl I spoke to really knew what she was talking about?0 -
I have just been accepted for one. Even though I have a Nationwide Cashback CC for use abroad, they no longer give you cashback on foreign transactions. It is still a good card, as it is a good deal even without cashback. However this new Thomas Cook card appears to give you an effective cashback on all spending, which I assume would also mean on foreign purchases. This should mean that you get free-of-charge foreign transactions and cashback. I have not got the card yet, but will find out more when I get it and use it!0

My first foreign transaction has not been debited from the card. I can confirm that it works very well as the foreign transactions earn travel pounds and incur no comission at all. Effectively all the advantages of a nationwide CC for foreign use, but also effectively giving you 1% cash back on all the foreign purchases!0
