Friday 4/04/08 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.

Today I have /will
  • Checked online banking -
  • Done clicks
  • Storecupboard lunch
  • Cook for oldies and eat for free:D
Hi everyone, it's Friday:j :j :j
Hope you all have a good day, roll on the weekend:D

    Hi,
    Today I have / will......
    • bring lunch to work
    • not buy another can of 60p pop from the machine in work
    • check on line banking
    • make sure credit cards are up to date
    • try to budget for the next 10 days until pay day so as to not go overdrawn
    • eat out of the fridge/freezer to use fresh stuff up
    • not do 2 or 3 loads of washing just because its the weekend (a habit I inherited from my mum) - just because its Friday/Saturday doesn't necessarily mean that I HAVE to do the washing - I usually do it regardless of whether there's a couple of pairs of knickers, a few socks and a few tops or enough washing to clothe a football team! I will try to just do it when the washing basket is full, not just out of habit!
    • Not go out tonight apart from a nice long dog walk before the weather turns again
    Have a good day!

Afternoon all- working from home today so no spends on coffees or lunch.

-Check online banking- work have paid expenses which is good as I've already paid the money off c-card so the cash is mine!
-Done a wash at 30 and hung on line (may have to tumble for a couple of minutes but should mostly dry outside)
-Taken photos for eBay stuff- will wait till tonight to list
-Will sort through clothes and organise what can go to charity shop, what can be eBayed.
-Checked mystery shopping- signed OH up for one but nothing for me today.
    -Pigsback clicks
-Tea will be homemade pizzas- made from storecupboard.

    Think that's it for today.

Not a NSD for us, we both had eye tests this morning and OH has just been an ordered new glasses, but he has two lovely pairs for £100 (one of which will be sunglasses)

I am ordering mine from the internet, costing me £25 including lenses which is good

Traded in a DS game and had the money put on a special card which gives me 10% extra on my trade-ins then bought a new game

Got some stuff to dye my hair instead of paying over the top at the hairdressers

Done two wash loads at 30 and the second lot is out on the line drying in the breeze

Hopefully NSD tomorrow as OH is transfixed to his new TV and Xbox360!!
