Can anyone help with monitor problem?

Just bought Acer X193W LCD monitor, the problem being that I have a bright yellow line running vertically about 1" to the lefthand side.
Running latest drivers etc.
Graphics - Nvidia GeForce FX5200

If anyones got any ideas.......
Thanks in advance

If you've tried another monitor and the line is not there - the monitor is faulty.

It's usually a fault with the connector at either top or bottom of the display, and you can sometimes effect a temporary "repair" by pressing on the surround.

Return for replacement - they can be repaired but it's not cost-effective unless the monitor is very large/expensive.

Try another monitor or another computer on the same screen to rule out graphics card/computer.

If you decide it's the monitor take it back it's faulty.

I agree with Britbat, always try a little diagnosis first to determine for sure whats faulty
