Capital One Purchase Protection

I bought my husband an IPod Shuffle for Christmas. I paid it with my Capital One Credit Card. Last week, he admitted to leaving it in the pocket of his gym shorts and then putting it in the washing machine.:eek: :eek:

Does anyone know if this is covered by Purchase Protection? If so, and I believe Purchase Protection is for 100 days, does the 100 days start from the date I ordered the goods; the date I received the goods; or the date I made my credit card payment?

AFAIK it's 100 days from the receipt of goods

(otherwise if you paid the minimum you could have a 40 year warranty lol)

Well, it is accidental damage so would imagine it will be covered. I also imagine it would be from the date on your statement.
