Are there any good online tutorials that illustrate how each of these programmes can be used? I know that the applications themselves have a help guide but I have never found it very useful.

For deep learning (and sorry not on-line), if you want really good guides of how to propely harness the power of Access with programming, you need to read books by Alison Balter "Mastering Access Development", nothing is better, I've been using them for many years, and they always deliver.

There is a very Access code site at: http://www.mvps.org/access/ for advanced users and Google with throw up many others.

For Excel, John Walkenbach's books are again excellent.

Anyway, for any excel questions, just ask on here. I actually enjoy coming up with solutions. How sad is that?

Good library of training covering many applications. They are very good but you have to subscribe and pay a yearly or monthly subscription.

HOWEVER reach the site using this URL Lynda.com/IDsecrets and you can sign up for 7 free days.
