Can you request that an account not be allowed to be overdrawn?

Does anyone know if it's possible to request (Nationwide in this case) not to allow a Flex account to ever go overdrawn?
Specifically, I'm wondering if it's possible to prevent anyone who obtained Visa Debit card details from running up debt on the account.
Or if not Nationwide, do any banks have this facility?
Thanks

Yes you can ask them specifically to put a 0 strict limit on your account.
Not sure how you would feel though if you were filling your car up with petrol and found yourself 1p short in the account balance as this would automatically mean a straight decline at point of sale!0
