Remortgage or move?

Was after a bit of advice, my fiancee and I are coming to the end of our fixed term on our current mortgage in June. I'm looking at which way to go with the remortgage, fix or track? However we are also in the process of finishing off the house with a view to selling it in the near future (under a year) however we won't be ready quickly enough to sell before needing to remortgage!!!
DO we :
a) put up with the rubbish SVR in the short term to sell without paying out on fees and penalties
b) remortgage but at a not so great rate, so we avoid early repayment penalties
c) remortgage with someone that will let us take the mortgage with us?
Or is there a further option that I haven't thought of?
All advice welcomed.

Remortgage with someone who will let you take it with you. Be aware that you won't be able to reduce the amount you've borrowed when you move.
Go and see a fee free, whole of market broker. They will advise you suitably

If you do remortgage with a lender you can take the rate with, remember that you will be paying survey etc fees twice, and the remortgage legal process will hold up and confuse things over your sale - so if you hope to be moved in a couple of months I really would put up with the SVR.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
