I've got a 28" widescreen Hitachi CRT TV, massive thing, not sure how old. It works fine except for turning itself off randomly about 3 or 4 times an evening. Sometimes it comes back on within seconds, sometimes it doesn't.
Is this a fault with the TV or could it be the electricity supply - power surges or something? I'd be grateful for any ideas.

Something similar happened to our old TV. Ended up being one of the controller chips had become faulty."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
