Right I've been paying using a payment plan since June last year and always pay £50 on time every month.

Anyways, today I got a letter saying I'm owe the £201. So I've phoned and they say they sent me a letter in Jan informing me that the payment plan had increased to £100. I've not seen this letter and they're now saying that unless I pay the outstanding £150 (made a payment 2 days after their letter was sent), they're going to cut me off.

I can't really afford the new payment plan price never mind the one off payment and is it right that they can increase it without speaking to you ? I just find it stupid that its in place to help you yet you don't get a say in it.

I'm waiting for a so called call back tomorrow afternoon from a manager as everytime i said i couldn't pay it i was just been told tuff, your problem.

So just want to know what you people think and is there anything i can say or do to help me out on this ?

Yes they can increase it without speaking to you, but you can challenge it. They usually include this on the quarterly statement, but sometimes it is a seperate letter.
The plan is there to pay for your bills. If you use more, or the prices go up you need to pay more.
Have they used an estimated read? Can you provide them with a real one? That might change how much they need from you (up or down).
They won't cut you off if your plan cancels, just move you back to quarterly billing so you'd need to pay those.
How much can you pay? Start paying what you can as it'll put you in a better position to negotiate.
