Can I ask where you got the file from?
Should be able to use notepad or word to open it0 -

Its right click and open with > then whatever program the dat file belongs to . But dont open if you dont trust the sender and virus scan it first .

Hi Danivtec i looked at that page and downloaded the relevant program but it didn't work.

It's an email attachment from a company my daughter wants attend their dance class i think it is a newsletter0

Sounds like it should be a pdf, you could try renaming the file extension to .pdf rather than .dat as it is now.
Otherwise, you could request the mail is resent.0
