Credit crunch hit?

Is this a sign of the credit crunch hitting home?

Applied for a citi access account recently after several people on here recommending them
I have had 1 ccj and a default all satisfied

Recieved a letter from citibank today, my application was unsuccesful:confused:

That'll be the reason for your rejection then, credit crunch or not !

A Large number of posters on here have been accepted with a similar history though!

The 'Large' number as you call it makes absolutely NO difference whatsoever as there are too many factors to be taken into consideration when assessing an applicants credit worthiness. No two applicants will be the same !
What may appear to be similar probably isn't when all factors are taken into consideration and what one creditor decides may well not be the case with another.
With a deafaulted history and a CCJ I would think you'd have difficulty obtaining any standard card.
