we too have a lakeland airer
i thought about it for ages as i live in a small 2 up 2 down
but it is the best thing, and as i have it in the bedroom it keeps me warm!
the condensation is very bad in here, running down windows and windowsills, i peg out all summer and use tumble for towels and bedding so its on twice a week

Hi all, sorry if this is covered elsewhere, I tried a search but didn't find anything.
Does anyone have any advice for geting clothes dry indoors? We've had so few good drying days lately but it's not central heating weather!
I'm fed up with my clothes taking so long to dry that they end up stinky
    Does anyone have any tips?

*eta* Thankyou to whoever whooshed my post over to this thread, I've ni idea how I missed it, it's exactly what I was looking for!

As summers here NOT, has anyone got a JML dri buddi? A friend told me had one and she said she did not have to iron the stuff which made me !!!!! my ears up!

See that Lakeland have one but its only 900 watt and JML one is 1200 watt, I do like Lakeland as you can send stuff back, but as lower wattage and seems that they are discontinuing it looks like it might not be a good idea. Only got 30 days to send JML one back.

I have a Lakeland heated aired and use it everyday, I think it holds quite a bit more than the dry buddy, and if you position it carefully it cuts down on ironing a lot, I think it's less than 5pm per hour to run but does take a whole day to dry or overnight as well if its heavyweight jeans.

They are stopping doing the one like the JML Dri buddy, not the heated airer

Oh right lol I miss read x
  • I don't know if it's been mentioned here before but I*ea sell a dryer that is a flat table of hangers on a stand with two fold out wings I'm not sure of the price but I've had one before and they hold an amazing amount of washing and it dries off really well, we had one when we lived abroad and it lived on the landing on the top floor and the washing dried in the warmer air rising from below. It's big enough to cope with bedding too, useful if you have to dry that indoors. Hope that's useful, Lyn.

Obviously it is not an issue right now but I was wondering how everyone dries their washing in the colder weather?

We used to put ours to hang up and dry in the spare room but now we have a small child we don't have a spare room and my nan keeps telling me if i let clothes dry indoors he will get pneumonia or something and that I shouldn't be so tight and just use the tumble dyer but I started using the dryer when he was born in December and the gas/electric bill has more than doubled and I can't afford to carry on that way!

I read you can't put the clothes over radiators because it stops the house heating up properly too.

We live in a very small house too which makes it harder.

I wondered what everyone else does?
