I also have some B&B shares, got them probably about 10 years ago when they converted to a bank.

A couple of years ago I think they were worth around £800 (again like the op, I think it is 250 shares).


To be honest, I never look and just cash the little dividend cheque that turns up every year...

I take it I won't be getting a cheque this year.. lol

Also, it is something I got for nothing, and never really bothered with, so will also leave them tucked under the cupboard for a very rainy day.

At 14.3p a share, that's £35.75 if you hold the 250, to add to the £16.75 interim divi you got in October.

People said that about HBoS a few weeks ago, and that was a load of rubbish.
Maybe a nice take over rumour will make them peak again.

another one here with 250 shares. Told hubby we should sell them last year when they were £4.51 each - over a grand!

I did briefly looking into a possible £80 referral deal on the referrals board via selftrade... but all i did was look. If i remember, all you have to do is transfer your shares, not buy or sell. The referrral's probably worth more than shares at the moment, so may reinvestigate!

Heard a snippit on sky news today that Bradford and Bingley have felt the need to issue a statement denying that its going to be NR mark 2.

Will be interesting to see if its share price goes the wrong side of 1.50 in the coming days/weeks. :eek:

Such denials are worth diddly squat. Northern Rock continually denied that they were the Northern Rock Mark I! Sell, Sell, sell while you can still get a few shillings for the shares.
