What propertybee drops do you see in your area?

For the plymouth area I'm seeing 5-10k drops off 100-150k houses, 8 or so new ones every day.

Anyone else have useful stats to track house prices?

dont claim to be an expert by any means but do have a bit of a rightmove addiction :D

where i live im seeing a hell of a lot more property coming to the market under £110k than ive seen in the past 18 months.

the number of yuppie flats that have remained on rightmove for several months, even after a reduction in price, is growing. such properties have also saturated the local rental market.

im slowly starting to notice more shared ownership new builds coming to the market. it also seems to be hard to find tired houses that need modernisation - looks like the property developers have bled that avenue dry. unless you want a full scale property development project on your hands (ie the type of properties that are cash only sales because they are unmortgetable) then the number of fixy-uppies seems to be declining.

there also seems to have been a flurry of houses priced under market value 'for a quick sale' lately. whether that is genuine or people are cutting their losses remains to be seen. have to see how it pans out longer term

even the vale of glamorgan (wales' answer to Poole in property terms) seems to be slowing down and leveling out a bit.

must admit, as someone who is looking to buy a family home to grow in a few years time, its heartening to see.

i think you are in kairdiff PN, so im guessing you know about the reputation that the vale has for being the most expensive area in wales and one of the more expensive places in the uk to buy property.

the vale has nothing on poole. property goes for stupid money there.

Over the last 2 weeks I've started to see a whole slew of £10k-£20k reductions in the areas I'm watching (York, Leeds Manchester.) Prior to that there had been mostly pointless minor reductions of a couple of grand.
