Stansted Express refund problem.

I booked to travel on the Stansted Express both into London and out of London on my recent holiday to the UK yet for reasons beyond my control I didn't make the trains I had booked for. I asked for a refund and I have two problems, first they want to me to give them my debit card number AND security code via email for the refund which I am not happy doing for security reasons and also they say there is a £10 charge for my refund, which is nearly half the amount I am applying for a refund for - is this allowed? Thanks in advance for any help.

Look at the T&C's of the ticket which is a downloadable PDF from here.
It states a "reasonable administration charge may be payable"
I find it odd they need the security number (CVV2).
If they insist then send the card number in ONE email and then the CVV2 in another.0 -
I have to send these details all the time for matched betting refunds.
The general advice over there (forum 41) is attach the required information into a Word document, zip it, and then password protect the zip. Include the password in the email. In a small town south of the border, where men are men and women need a sense of humour.0 -
Thanks for your help both of you!0

You could phone Standsted Express and give them your card details over the phone. This is what I did when I got a refund.0
