Didn't apply for my credit card

in Credit cards
Hi All,
I'm hoping someone might actually be able to advise me on this - I appreciate that it might be a usual case...
When I was 18 I enquired about applying for a credit card, my limit at that time would have been around £100. I do not ever actually apply for the card or sign anything.
A few months later a credit card appeared with a £1000 limit. As an 18 year old about to go on holiday this was maxed out pretty quickly and I have been paying it off ever since (with periods of missing payments)
Now at 27 I am finally starting to become savvy. After reading the website I've become clearer on what charges I can reclaim, but as I didn't ever actually apply for the card I'm wondering if there is anything else I can claim for... Has anyone else ever found themselves in a situation like this?
I'd appreciate any help you could give

Credit card charges can only be claimed if they were charged to your account in the last six years.
Not sure about the second part of your question, claim for anything else?0 -
Not sure either! Obviously I should pay for what I have spent but I was wondering, I suppose, that as I can reclaim charges am I actually contractually obliged to pay for the credit card if I didn't sign for it?0

In your first post you said your credit limit would have been £100. How do you know this. Generally you get your credit limit after applying for the card.0

Because I had an overdraft at the time and had asked in brach what I would be allowed. At £100 I deemed it not worth getting a credit card with £100 on it. I can see your point though, maybe it had just got confused between me and the person in the branch.0
