I see today they have dropped again to just £8. unbelieveable, just 8p a CD. how can they make them so cheap?!

Well, at this price, who can complain? Even more strangely, when I ordered (from amazon) 3 x100 in order to get free postage, the amazon system picked up a paperback I'd previously tried to order with a Kelloggs voucher - in theory, free book, and free delivery. However, Amazon system rejected kelloggs voucher, so I didn't go ahead. But now, with 3x100 disk order, has oddly decided to send me the book for free. Very strange...........
Anyway, even without the book, it's a great deal - well spotted, especially if you've had no probs with them - must admit to buying some cheap disks from 7dayshop, which were hopeless - although everything else from them has been first class.0 -
Sadly my recorder only takes the plus R or plus RW dvds, these seem very hard to find. Is it like the old betamax v VHS thing or is there some other reason for it? The recorder is less than a year old, a liteon.
If anyone knows where you can get +Rs cheap, please post!0 -

SVP/blankdiscshop is usually well worth a look - just remember the shipping charge. Alternatively, I've bought them at a good price on ebay.0 -
Discs are so cheap becauswe once the machines and the engineering costs have been covered, you are basically paying for the raw material, which is a bit of plastic.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

When I bought my 2x SCSI CD writer (can't recall how much I paid for it - I must be in denial), I used to pay £1 per CD. Mind you, in them days, we made good use of them. Used every single Bit. Not like you young 'uns today.
8p per CD? Luxury!0 -

Come on lets get real here.
I don`t know and quite frankly don`t care if it`s a referrals link.
It`s a bargains and a MONEY SAVING item (which is what this site USED to be all about).
As far as I`m concerned there`s too much petty hairsplitting on this site.
A bargain is a bargain is a bargain.
If longdongdave (what a handle) can post a BARGAIN beating this price for the same product
go ahead.0 -

Well, I can see there are two points of view here, but this still a stonking deal.
There are some far, far, more blatant and useless links in other areas of the site - in particular those in "Cheap Student Car Insurance" - my favourite is the one pointing to Endsleigh, who seem to specialise in providing a service for students which is generally hopelessly uncompetitive - and yet these seem to stay for ever.
Also, I think that many people buying these disks will be quite familiar with the concept of a referers link, and will simply buy via their own reward system.0 -
I have asked Abcon to take a look at this link. In the meantime the thread will be locked until he has made a decision.0

Although we arent professionals at spotting referral links, im unsure where the ID bit is in this link? Having gone to the site and found the product myself, my string and that one are pretty much the same. However, if we have missed anything please let us know
Regarding your question Dave, i cant find a report of this instance in my email inbox from you, so im not sure how we would otherwise have known about it?0
