Yeah I got this bag price checked yesterday still £10 for me ( so refrained)

Also clearance section in Broughton a pile of pants, if I hadn't got my R&M make up in another store this weekend I would have been dissapointed as made DH go out of our way to go to Broughton ~ he was laughing though at the look on my face and the fact I spent no money ! ( for a change)

I am waiting for a new advantage card as mine broken. If I try to use points vouchers will they go on the rec to be validated or should I save them and hope new card comes before they run out? Or should I get a temp card and register it in OH name so I dont miss out on points? and get another mailer................and more vouchers.................ooh perhaps that is the answer
I managed to misplace my card last monthish ( doh left it in the machine and was used!!) anyway I just advised each SA at time of purchase that I did not have my card and they validated my receipt for me ( this was when S&G was 400pts on £5 spend so deffo didn't want to miss out) I never had a problem , however some SA's did say they were not sure that it would work but it always did!

forgot to say , R & M section in Peterborough is grubby! They don't have a consultant and most of the stock has been picked over & tried out . I did not buy as could not find an offer to make it worthwhile .All of the eye or lip palette ( priced at £12 ?) had been opened so left them there.Think it is quite an expensive range and does not look it .

I must agree for the price of the make up the stands ( esp the pallettes ) do not seem well looked after.. I was fortunate when I went I got exactly what I wanted. the little compacts that I got came with a little leather effect pouch and they do look nice..far more expensive than the £2.50 I paid for each one.

Must be a store thing hogshead  The sharpeners were going thru ok in my local at the weekend, although the SA doubted they would :)

Sorry didn't make it clear in that post thou I did later on. I gave her an out of date hair till spit to try...hence it bleeped. Only after I left the counter did I realise what I'd done.
Now if that worked that'd be a great glitch, using expired spits to buy stuff!

why are some of the boots concession cosmetic consultants so stingy with giving out the free samples, i asked a few today, explained that i dont want to buy the full size item and find im allergic or something and most just look down their nose at you, the companies make sample sizes and they are there to be given out if asked for but it seems unless you fit the bill of the ideal customer then you dont get anything, the only ones ive found that are actually friendly are two elizabeth arden women, one in brent cross, the other in oxford st, both were really friendly and chatty, i only asked for advice but came away with a smile and a sample (or 5 from oxford st, didnt even ask for them)

Hi wendy_ann:hello: is there a tube station near that branch? I might pop there on wednesday:D

Main Boots on Golders Green Road (London, NW11) had 20 pink No7 GWPs on top of the stand at approx 12pm today,

i picked one up with a nail varnish, SA tried to tell me I had to buy 3 items so I asked where the posters were that stated that and would she mind just scanning it, oh look the till says I can have it with just the one purchase, she wasn't happy, no let me rephrase that she was was even unhappier than when I went in, the staff are seriously miserable in there.

  • Just been Bootsing and had the Berry bags price checked. All coming up as full price except the hanging one which was reduced from £12 to £3. They had changed the SEL to read this so of course none left - don't they know they are supposed to leave everything showing as full price so only the MSE Bootsers can have them  .

Anyway, got a couple of toothbrushes as on offer at 75p and BOGOG (Smile ones) and was queueing up when I spotted an Olay gift box on bottom shelf of clearance stand located next to tills (not a good place).

Clearance sticker on £3.75, SA said should be £14 ish and also on 3 for 2, but what do you know, only 2 on shelf. SA very kindly popped some wipes in that also went through on the same deal.

Box contains - Olay total effects 7x Day Cream 50ml and also total effects night firming cream 15ml and total effects daily concentrated anti-aging serum 15ml.

Know that some of you have Olay PC vouchers so could be an even better deal for you lot.:T
