Becky, I've used my tillspits on reduced R&M brushes with no problems, they went straight through. Didn't spend enough to get GWP though.

Okay, help needed from Bootsing mums.

Daughter ...proud owner of hip length uberfine hair...has got nits. Despite having had three kids this is the first case of nits I've ever encountered in my kids and it had to happen to the girl...the boys would have been off for a No2 buzz cut as soon as I'd noticed and that would have helped a lot with treatment.

Anyhow, what to Boots sell that will kill the little b****rs stone dead with the least amount of hassle and the maximum amount of instant death? I have no objections to chemical warfare, given that they lead a pretty unpolluted lifestyle the rest of the time and are not sickly or allergic to anything.

EEK! That is alot of hair for those pesky little things to play in!

Having been there last year with 2 'infectees' in the house, I can recommend Headrin. It was like an oil you put all over the hair and leave on for about 8 hours or overnight in our case and wash out in the morning and repeat a week later to kill any head lice that have hatched in the last week (pauses to scratch head!) Worked for us.

Or to keep it on a Boots theme. I recently bought the nitty gritty. It's a metalic combe which Boots sell and mums rave about. There is an offer on the ACM for it but I always wizz past it as I bought one earlier in the year ~ just in case ~ so cant advise on the offer. http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1080815&classificationid=1048220

It has spirals on the teeth so it supposed to grit the head louce and the nit egg.

i nearly missed it , it wasnt on the normal clearance shelf but on the opp end of the santuary shelf on the bottom. dd spotted a make up bag and when i bent down i noticed the hold -all that i had got a couple of weeks age so sent dd to check price (still £10) but dd said what about this its only £2. just had to have it to keep lip glazes and liners in. as far as i know it was the only one but it might be worth checking in now and again and ill keep a look out for one for you.:D
If it has tyres or testicles, it's gonna give ya problems..

If anyone is a member of Pigsback.com there's a printable £1 off coupon for Simple Daily Radiance (could possibly combine with 342?) valid till 30/06/08 and also 50p off Garnier Nutrisse Creme, valid till 09/07/08, both valid in Boots(plus Sainsburys, Tescos, Waitrose, Asda, Somerfield and Morrisons if you're adventurous :rotfl: ).

Was in Stockton on Tees branch today and overheard an SA telling a customer that the 342 applied only when buying from the same brand. I thought you could mix and match, which is what the signs say, but she was adamant that they'd been told it was three items from the same brand(think she was trying to flog the No 7 stuff). I didn't butt in as I wasn't 100% sure but I think she was wrong wasn't she?

Yes, you can mix and match across the different ranges.
I wonder if No7 girls are on commission? They definitely work hard to sell their brand.

Edit, it seems that the No7 342 is seperate though, just looked on .com

The Oxford branch does not stock the Bourjois nail polish remover so afraid I can't see if it bleeps here Scorpiokitten. No tweezers either so looks like I'll have to go further afield to use up the till spits.
Speaking of which, hoping to go to Weymouth and then Torquay for a few days :j I'm very excited about going to some new Boots stores :rotfl:
Any local Bootsers who can fill me in on the best Boots to visit? Thanks
What is a till split please? Sorry to be so thick. Taffy

Hi, did they have a lot of the Ted Baker bags? I fancy one of the small ones and also 3 compartment one. Was it the big Boots?

    Thanks

Hi - there was a couple of the little ones left, about 4 of the compartment ones and one of the large clutch bags. SEL all still said full price so I got them price checked.
Was the big Boots near to the Clarks shop. HTH

There were loads of the No 7 trinket boxes on clearance shelf at back of store near the opticians bit too - reduced to 50p and were apparantly £15 originally.

Had a trip to Bolton today and 'nipped' into both Boots there. Nothing in smaller one but managed to get the smaller of the Ted Baker clutch bags reduced to £1.88 each. The larger clutch was still full price and the 3 compartment one was £6 (but got this one in Preston last week for 4.25). Also picked up a couple of the No.7 trinket box thingies for 50p each in clearance.

Got the Med soap at last (I thought) - got 2 and took to till - handed over my voucher - was notified expired on 31.03
    Hello icheekymonkey. :hello:

Are you sure your voucher expired on 31st? Did she give you the voucher back to check? I printed my vouchers on 31st (when the glitch was still on) and that date is on the top right of the voucher. However there is a valid until date of 22nd April on the bottom left of the voucher.

When I printed mine there were no soaps left on the shelf, so I showed an SA the voucher and she checked their stock. She said they had no more in stock but would order some and noticed that my voucher was only valid for that day, but wrote on it that they would honour the voucher the next time I was in the shop. It wasnt until later when I looked at my voucher again that I realised that the 31st wasnt the expiry date, only the date the voucher was printed. What I am saying is that the SA didnt realise that there was a long expiry date on it. Did you print your voucher this week, in which case your expiry date probably wasnt the 31st. This was just the printed date.

    Hope this makes sense!

    Hello Taffyscot :hello:

A till spit is a voucher that comes out of the till after it prints out your receipt. (You can get them at Tesco too, usually for extra clubcard points.) In Boots case, there is currently a £2 off colour cosmetics till spit produced when you spend a minimum of £5 in one transaction. See post 1 on this thread under Latest Info for what you can spend it on.

Happy Bootsing all. Off to bed now

Hi - yes was definitely 31st - had 2 of them which I printed off last week and both had same date on. Printed some other ACM vouchers at same time but are longer dated.
